The Way I Walk

Bio

Russia has its share of famed Millennial rock voices – Dima Bilan, Sergey Lazarev, Nikolay Noskov, Leonid Agutin – and in recent years, singer-songwriter Alex Grow has joined those ranks as one of the most celebrated voices on the rise. Scoring in the top of countless competitions including as a finalist and a semi-finalist in the UK Songwriting Contests 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and a finalist in the American contest the 12th Annual International Acoustic Music Awards (USA) and was an awardee at the all-Russian vocal competition Melomania Music Awards for his rendition of “Something’s Got a Hold on Me”, Alex is poised to break out internationally in 2019 and beyond!

Enrapturing audiences with his platinum voice and charismatic star power, Alex has tens of thousands of screaming fans across all over 300 live performances and countless radio rotations for his original compositions including “The Way I Walk”, “When You’re Gone”, “Don’t Want to Lose You” and “She’s Forever” on popular Russian rock stations like “Samara Maximum” and “Time to Sound!”, and together with American band Cinema for the Blind, garnered airplay across dozens of mainstream US stations like «KLTZ/MIX93» and «KLIR 101.1».

Back home in Russia, Alex duplicated similar successes with airplay on the State Broadcasting Company «Mayak» and on the widely-watched TV shows on «GIS TV», «SCAT», «TV Gubernia» and «RIO». Alex together with Anna Zolotova (the revered golden opera voice of Russia and star of the Russian version of «The Voice» on the First Channel) presented their original song “Fairy Tale” for the TV project «Musical Cuisine» and in a celebrated solo performance on the «As if This is a Show» on the M1 network.

Alex is equally as famed on the live stage, having played with Edward Lytkin, the «Blue Bird» band and the «Blue Bird Satellite» band. Packing sell-out crowds into many of the country’s most famed music venues, including the «MTL Arena» before thousands of screaming fans, drawing similar numbers at shows at the summer «Opera Symptom» Festival, Viva Land Celebration, the open-air «Love-Fest Romantic» festival, the Togliatti Philharmonic, the State Concert Hall Bashkortostan, «The Beatles Forever» Festival before 2000 people, and before a crowds numbering 3000 at events like major rock radio «Samara Maximum» Festivals; the «Day of Russia» Festival; and on the island «Proran» as part of the Big Music Festival of the radio «Time to Sound!», and the central square at the «Day of the City» Samara in front of crowds of 5000!

Alex – a multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, guitar, bass and keyboards and who is an equally-accomplished record producer and sound engineer – has been locked away in the studio working on his debut album. With over 200 compositions to his name as a songwriter, Alex Grow’s career can do only that in the years to come!
